This site describes modifications to 3D printers. A 3D printer heats plastic to around 250 C, draws mains power, and often runs unattended. Modifying one carries real risk of injury, fire and property damage, and it may void your manufacturer warranty.

Everything here is information, not instruction tailored to your machine or your situation. You are responsible for deciding whether a modification is appropriate for your printer, for following your manufacturer's own documentation, and for the consequences of work you carry out.

Specifically: follow your printer's own service documentation over anything written here where the two differ, never work on a powered or hot machine, do not seal ventilation openings around electronics, and do not undertake electrical work you are not competent to do.

The content here is provided as-is. Specifications are quoted from the sources named on each page and may be incorrect, outdated or revised by the manufacturer without notice. Products get discontinued, revised and renamed.

This site makes no warranty that any information on it is accurate, complete or current, and it has not tested any product it discusses — how we review sets out exactly what the recommendations are and are not based on.

Verify anything that matters against your manufacturer's own documentation before spending money or opening a machine.
